Marlana was one of my closest friends.  She eas very shy & reserved.  Her parents had money & yet there was no affection ever shown.  She attended SWT  after graduation.  Marlana fell prey to addiction while at college.  Gladly she overcame this disease & remained sober until she passed away.  I loved her so much.  We stayed in contact until her death.  Her beautiful son, Chad, was the light of her life.  Marlana worked for Borden from her 20's til her death.  She &I kept in touch, had lunch for all the years since high school.  Marlana was the most devoted, loving mother & wife.  Marlana was by my side during a very difficult period.   I saw her 3 months before she passed.  She was happy & healthy.  After returning from Thanksgiving with our kids her husband, Ted, called to say our dear one was gone.  How grateful I am to have been a part of her life.   She was at peace, had no regrets.  Friends like Marlana come once in a lifetime...what a precious gift she was in my life.
