Tommy passed away in 2013 in Livingston from heart disease. He is survived by his brother Robert (Bob) Evans , class of 1966 at Spring Woods and Bob's wife Lois.
I just found this web site and added my information. As I was looking over everything I found the "in memory" section and to my disbelief I found Tommy Evans name on it. He was a very dear person to me and I am shocked to know he has passed on. We double dated with our significant others all through our junior and senior years and remained friends after graduation. The last time I spoke to Tommy is when he was begging me to come to Houston for our 40th reunion. Unfortuntely I wasn't able to come but we kept in touch and mailed each other pictures of our glory days. About a year after the 40th reunion we loss touch again. I can't believe my friend is gone. Tommy was kind to everyone. A wonderful person. My heart is so sad.
I met Tommy when we were in elementary school and his family moved to my neighborhood. He had a horse that he let me ride and that was the beginning of years of adventures we had together. He was such a gentle person, with a big heart and a great sense of humor. He was a wonderful friend to me - loyal, kind, supportive, encouraging. We met for lunch in 2004, shortly before I left Houston, and had the best time catching up on all the years that had flown by since our last visit. I love and miss him.
I am so sorry to hear that Tommy passed away! He contacted me a couple of times and then I didn't hear from him anymore. I remember most about him was that he was very considerate about people and kind. I remember at lunch, he would always sit with me out in the outdoor eating area. I appreciated this as I was a very quiet and shy person at that time and didn't have that many friends. May he RIP. I miss you Tommy!!
